Each research project must be reviewed by the IRB at least once each year. The appropriate certification period is determined at the time the proposed research project is submitted for initial review and approval. Projects for which Expedited IRB Review has been deemed sufficient must be subjected to Full IRB Review within one year of the date of their Expedited Review.
